If you are neurodivergent and thinking of freelancing, there’s government help available. Access to Work (AtW) can support your needs in the workplace, which is beyond the employers reasonable adjustments. You might also be eligible for the ‘new style’ Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) if you have a health condition that affects how much you can work.
Employers can also support you by offering remote working and flexible hours. They can also provide modified workspaces with noise-cancelling headsets or alternative lighting.
