Main Duties
Designing accessible digital resources including guides, worksheets, infographics, and visual explainers.
Translating structured written content into clear, engaging visual formats.
Creating layouts that improve readability, hierarchy, navigation, and understanding.
Applying accessible design principles, including contrast, typography, spacing, and clear structure in line with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA guidance.
Developing consistent visual styles across resources.
Preparing files for digital use (PDF, web, and social formats).
Iterating designs based on feedback.
Skills and Experience Required
Strong visual design skills with a clean, modern style.
Ability to organise information clearly and make complex content easier to follow.
Basic understanding of accessibility (e.g. contrast, layout, readability) or willingness to learn.
Experience using tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar.
Good communication skills and ability to take and apply feedback.
Interest in meaningful, real-world work.
You do not need extensive experience. We are more interested in how you think and approach design than a long CV.
Designers who consistently deliver high-quality work and strong communication will be prioritised for ongoing projects, increased rates, and occasional bonuses.
