Are you aged 18-25, based in London, and eager to break into commercial photography or a related field? Our 6-month programme, starting June 2025, is designed to help you take your photography skills to the next level in a supportive and inspiring environment.
To be eligible for the programme we are looking for individuals who fit all of the below:
- Show you have an interest in developing a career in commercial photography, or a related profession
- Be aged 18-25 when the programme starts
- Be able to commit to one full day (9am – 5pm) in our studio in North Greenwich as well as work on projects in your own time (minimum 1 extra day per week)
- Live in London for the duration of the programme
- Not be in full-time education at any point during the programme
- Have faced barriers to entering the creative industries relating to socio-economic background (based on criteria set out by the Social Mobility Commission)
You will need to bring a strong passion to succeed in commercial photography or a related field. You don’t have to be a professional photographer to apply, but you will need to show that you already have some practical experience of producing photographic, or similar media.
We want to see that you are ambitious and have a plan for your future. You will have thought about how we can support you to achieve your goals
Fees & Bursaries
We provide both heavily discounted places (£950) as well as full-fee bursaries that cover all expenses and fees relating to the programme (free + expenses covered) for individuals currently living in a low-income household.
Main Duties
You don’t have to be a professional photographer to apply, the purpose of the programme is to nurture your potential. To thrive on the programme, you will need to show that you already have some practical experience of producing photographic, or similar, work.
We want to see that you are enthusiastic, have a desire to develop, and that you have thought about how the programme will support you to reach your goals and boost your career. You will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively and to manage your time to achieve self-led outcomes. You will be motivated to grow and to make the most of the learning and opportunities on offer to you.

- Weekly workshops led by industry professionals, plus ongoing mentorship throughout the programme.
- Access to a fully equipped photography studio and co-working space in North Greenwich; featuring iMacs, camera kits, and editing software.
- Hands-on experience in digital photography, studio skills, editing, and business essentials to enhance your employability.
- Work on a self-led commercial project with a business, start-up, or charity in your chosen photography area, developing your portfolio.
- Mentorship from a professional photographer or professional in the industry.
This hands-on approach to learning will give you the experience and confidence needed to succeed in the competitive world of photography within a supportive and collaborative community.
