Main Duties

We are looking for one lego tutor and one cookery tutor, or an individual to run both - please see below!

We are looking for a talented tutor to teach cookery to children at a primary school on a Wednesday and Thursday, from next month, for 10 weeks. You will be teaching various sweet and savoury dishes - one dish per session. Some items will be cooked, others baked. A lesson plan of recipes will be agreed and provided beforehand and you will receive a budget for ingredients.

We are also looking for a lego tutor to run fun lego building clubs on a Monday and Friday at the same school. You would need motivate the children to get creative and work well together. The weekly projects or challenges will be given to you beforehand

Skills and Experience

For cookery you need good food hygiene and food prep knowledge and preferably some previous experience working with children. For lego, you do not need any advanced lego building skills. Basic knowledge is fine, but more importantly, you should be able to work well with a small group of primary aged children and be able to motivate and encourage them.

You should be reliable and punctual and able to commit to at least the 10-week term after Easter (end of April - early July).

You should be enhanced DBS checked or willing to obtain one from our company

You should be easily accessible to Surbiton in Kingston and willing to do a shadow session with the current tutor to gain more insight to how the club runs

This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to get into teaching a creative skill or for someone looking to gain childcare or education experience
