Building Imagination is a team of passionate individuals who run after-school clubs and holiday workshops that focus on teaching students about design & technology. We use Block Coding, Robotics, AR & VR as teaching tools and introduce other languages and technologies as students progress.
Robots we work with:
Ozobots // Micro:bits // Arduino // and more
(Prior experience of working with these robots is not needed - we provide training)
We are a fun dynamic team and believe in shared knowledge and skills.
We also have lots of other opportunities for team members to design and facilitate lessons and workshops in their fields of interest and hope to give people a platform to inspire and educate students. We are a young company that is rapidly expanding and are looking for people to get involved and bring their passions and skills.
Applicants must be able to commit to teaching at least 1 weekly hour-long session
Sessions happen at the different school's premises across London - We of course never expect someone to travel to a school further than they are happy to.
Sessions run on a weekly basis during term time at lunch 12:30 - 13:30 or afterschool from 3:30 - 4:30pm.
No teaching qualification is required and we can apply for a DBS if you don't have one.
All individuals that join the team receive training and support.
We have a community of teachers to share teaching tips and ideas with.
Teaching materials, lesson plans are resources are provided
Sessions are for KS1 (Age 5-7) & KS2 (Age 8-11)
