Main Duties

We are currently looking for a Retail Designer to join our Global Architecture & VM team for Penhaligon's and L'Artisan Parfumeur. In this role, you will develop creative and technical store design for our brands at Retail, Wholesale and Travel Retail points of sale. This includes producing original concepts as well as developing our current layouts. Penhaligon's and the Parisian perfume house L'Artisan Parfumeur form Perfumers 1870, a fast-growing arm of the Puig Group.

Retail Designer Responsibilities:

  • Develop store planning and design, wholesale and travel retail counters and shop in shop, furniture, and point of sale material
  • Manage different stages of design process from conceptual design to technical execution
  • Manage relationships with external designers and agencies, making sure to provide all the information needed to the project managers and suppliers in charge of executing the store
  • Create technical guidelines for the execution of the stores from external partner like distributors
  • Collaborate with relevant department contacts to take the commercial briefs such retail and wholesale
  • Make sure design reflects business needs

Skills and Experience

You will have...

  • A Degree in Architecture or relevant education, and experience in Retail Design within the Fragrance, Beauty or Luxury industries
  • Sound knowledge of relevant materials as well as the final appropriate construction methods
  • Proficienct expertise in Vectorworks / CAD / Sketchup, Office and Adobe applications
  • Familiarity in 3D modelling software's applications
  • High level of design skills; ability to sketch and hand draw
  • Knowledge of millwork standards, details and construction
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organisation, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and trouble shoot during the course of a project
  • Strong organisational skills with a can-do attitude and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and cross functionally with other teams to ensure successful projects
  • Ability to work under own initiative, taking projects from start to finish
  • Great interpersonal skills
