The role:

Initially the main focus is to make and pack custom orders and keep three on-line platforms updated and running smoothly. The customer service is of equal importance and is completed with a high standard of care.

For the right person the role could become more challenging and in-depth to include more aspects of running the business. This would depend on skills /experience you already have and/or your natural aptitude for taking on new challenges and learning as you go.

Potentially it could include: writing product descriptions, contributing to designs, liaising with suppliers, product photography, social media campaigns/updates, researching new products or outlets for sales as well as learning and implementing efficient systems for handling post, stock or whatever else may be needed.

About you:

We are looking for someone with an excellent work ethic who can multi task and quickly cross reference between customer queries, stock knowledge and lots of retained short term memory information. The ability to prioritise and adapt those priorities throughout the day is also essential. You will be focused, methodical and have a fantastic eye for detail. A fast learner you will also have a ‘can-do’ attitude and oodles of common sense !

If you haven’t already experienced managing a retail customer service business you will have work experience that involved confidently grappling with tasks where self learning is required.

Good written English is a must and copywriting skills a bonus.

The environment:

Training will be given but you need proven experience in and a natural aptitude for the key aspects above. Once comfortable in the role you may often be working alone. The studio is based two minutes from Catford/Catford Bridge train stations and is open plan, connecting to various other designers, photographers, producers and other creatives.
