Main Duties

Overview:

As part of the government’s Kickstart Scheme, we are looking for an energetic and organised team member who is passionate about marketing, retail, customer service and sustainability to join us for a period of at least 6 months.

With support and leadership from the Head of Retail & Creative, you will support us in marketing, helping deliver our social impact initiatives and the expansion of our retail platform.

Showroom and Retail-

  • Act as a brand ambassador for Goldfinger while working in the Goldfinger showroom and at pop-up events, with excellent brand awareness, product knowledge and customer service.
  • Supporting POP UP events online and in-person
  • Support the creation of in-store ‘happenings’ and collaborations
  • Help to maintain a fully-stocked store, checking in new retail deliveries via our stock control system.
  • Follow the opening and closing procedures of the retail and POP UP premise
  • Process retail transactions in-store including gift wrapping items as needed
  • Process retail transactions via our POP UPs, online store including packing and shipping
  • Contribute ideas for new retail brands and product ‘stories’

Marketing-

  • Provide administrative and project support for a variety of marketing activities
  • Assistance with the promotion of our brand through social media
  • Assist with the production of marketing materials and collateral
  • Contribute marketing ideas to the Goldfinger Brand
  • Conduct market and competitor research

Skills and Experience

Person specification:

Essential skills, experience and qualifications-

  • Some office or admin experience
  • Some customer service or front of house experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organised with attention to detail
  • Confidence working across IT suites including gmail, word, excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team
  • A willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Interest in retail and customer experience

Desirable skills, experience and qualifications-

  • Experience of working within the charitable / not for profit sector
  • Experience with using multiple software packages (Gsuite, Xero, Shopify, Podio, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Photography and photo-editing
  • Graphic design
