Main Duties


It is the responsibility of the Corporate Relations team to actively shape Burberry’s global reputation. The team is responsible for building relationships with our external corporate stakeholders and works with teams across Burberry to create campaigns and activities to tell the exciting story of our business.


The Corporate Relations Assistant will provide support for the Corporate Relations team in managing the busy press office and maintain best in class service and processes to support senior management and the wider business. This role will also support the wider Corporate Relations team on our proactive communications and engagement activity with external corporate stakeholders.


Reporting to the Senior Corporate Relations Manager, the Corporate Relations Assistant will assist in corporate storytelling across a range of channels and across all three regions (EMEIA, Asia Pacific and Americas). The role will be responsible for:

Press Office Management

  • Managing media distribution lists
  • Creating media coverage reports and managing subscriptions
  • Monitoring and handling corporate press office enquiries
  • Research and information gathering
  • Drafting briefing packs for senior management

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Copy writing for
  • Managing the calendar and creating content for corporate social media channels
  • Creating and managing financial and corporate infographics and factsheets
  • Assisting senior members of the team on projects and stories
  • Support in tracking/monitoring business issues and trends in the fashion and textile industry

Administrative tasks

  • Project and event logistics
  • Support on content and process management for corporate publications such as and the Annual Report

Working alongside the senior members of the team, this role will enable you to build skills in media relations, copy writing, storytelling, stakeholder management, budget management and provide lots of opportunity to flex your creativity.

Skills and Experience

· Strong writing and comprehension skills with a passion for telling stories

· Have an interest in how brands and companies navigate their reputations and communicate with their stakeholders

· Strong awareness and interest in current affairs; some knowledge of the business and finance media a plus

· Graduate academic qualification and/or applicable/transferable work experience either in a corporate environment or in fashion and textile industry

· Excellent written and spoken English and additional language skills are a strong advantage

· Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

· Flexible and friendly approach with an international and diverse mindset

· Strong organisational and time-management skills

· Some understanding of the media landscape

· Interest in business strategy and luxury industries
