At Jigsaw XYZ, we work in cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams, with each team separated by product and each product setting out to solve a piece of the puzzle, from saving for parenthood to getting a hyper-personalised loan for your small business. Each team’s challenge is unique and complex.
The design team is responsible for developing all aspects of our design and creative output. Members of the design team work across multiple projects, and as an entry level designer you will be working collaboratively with other members of the design team, colleagues from other teams across the organisation, and external stakeholders.
As a design academy student, you will undertake an intensive three-month training programme which will build on your previous skills and knowledge. During this time, you will work with our experienced designers and develop the skills required to work as a fully-fledged member of the design team.
At the end of this three-month period, and after successfully completing a performance review, you will join the design team to finesse your skills on the job for the next nine months. We aim to help you to develop your technical and interpersonal skills throughout this period, with you bringing your previous and newly acquired knowledge to join us in developing our products.
You can find further details about the Jigsaw Academy on our website (www.jigsaw.xyz).
We are looking for recent design graduates with strong portfolios that demonstrate technical skill and attention to detail. As an entry level designer, you will be working collaboratively with others and must be able to work to a brief and deliver work within a deadline.
Candidates must be proficient in design tools such as Figma, UXPin, Sketch, and Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) and show a strong will to learn and develop their skills.

Successful candidates will start on a salary of £32,000, plus all regular company benefits, including:

If your application is successfully shortlisted, you will be invited to a telephone interview where we will discuss your application and any previous experience. Following this and provided you are successful, you will then be invited to an assessment day, giving you the opportunity to further showcase your skills and knowledge. The assessment day will consist of the following:
Interview and technical exercises, in which you will be able to showcase yourself, your portfolio and your technical skills
Team lunch, where you will be able to get to know the design team
Whiteboard exercise, where you will learn more about how the design team work together and communicate
Candidates who successfully pass the assessment day will be offered a place in the Jigsaw Academy.
