Desired skills and experience:
- Strong portfolio demonstrating digital, web, or interactive design
- Ability to think conceptually and push beyond standard website templates
- Good understanding of SEO fundamentals (site structure, headings, metadata, image optimisation)
- Experience designing in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools

- Clear communication skills and comfort working directly with stakeholders
We value ideas, taste, and originality, alongside a practical understanding of how websites are found and used.

SEO is not the primary focus of this project, but the final website should be structured and built in a way that supports organic visibility from day one.
The selected designer will be expected to:
- Apply SEO best practices to page structure (clear hierarchy, semantic headings, clean URLs)
- Set up page titles and meta descriptions for key pages
- Optimise images for web (file size, naming, alt text where appropriate)
- Ensure mobile-first responsiveness and fast load times
- Create a logical internal linking structure between pages
The designer is not expected to:
- Perform deep keyword research
- Write long-form SEO content
- Build backlinks or run ongoing SEO campaigns
Expected SEO Handover
At project completion, we ask for a simple handover that includes:
- Confirmation that SEO basics have been implemented
- Guidance on where and how metadata can be edited (Webflow or WordPress)
- Any recommendations for future SEO improvements
