Main Duties

Looking for a creative and reliable Video Editor & Videographer to support our live comedy shows and a variety of freelance projects. Comedy Freaks runs weekly stand-up comedy nights across Kings Cross and Camden.

We need someone who is a “Final Cut Pro X Mastermind” to handle our existing workflow and who is comfortable shooting high-quality content on-site. This role involves working on Comedy Freaks content, various comedy projects, and external comedy and non-comedy related retainer clients (including food and sports content).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post-Production: Editing complex multicam comedy shows, sketches, and podcasts using Final Cut Pro.
  • Social Content: Creating high-performing short-form content and Meta Ads for various platforms.
  • On-Site Videography: Setting up and filming at our London venues and other locations using Sony camera systems.
  • Client Delivery: Managing edits, ensuring content is delivered to a high standard.
  • Workflow Management: Organising footage and maintaining a clean, efficient video workflow system.
  • Initiative: Using your own creative judgement to improve edits and solve technical issues on the fly.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Software Expertise: Extensive experience with Final Cut Pro X is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating Sony cameras and basic lighting/audio setups.
  • Versatility: Able to adapt your editing style between comedy, sports, and commercial content.
  • Reliability: Capable of working to tight deadlines and managing multiple projects independently.
  • Based in London: Easy access to our Kings Cross and Camden venues for shoot days.
  • Portfolio: A proven track record of high-quality video work (experience with social media content or comedy is a bonus).
