SEND Participatory Arts Specialist

Salary £40 Per hour
Hours Freelance, 12.5 days between February 2026 - April 2026

Main Duties

  • Be an active part of the co-creation process, working with THRIVE partners to design new inclusive arts-based Science curriculum, History curriculum and creative careers programme
  • Work closely with Eko Trust teachers to understand the needs of the children in their schools
  • Work with Rosetta Arts, teachers and artists to contribute to writing and reviewing lesson plans and accompanying resources to ensure the programme is inclusive for children with SEND and EAL
  • Support project evaluation by contributing reflections and feedback during and after the co-creation process

 

Skills and Experience Required

  • Middleweight-level or above industry experience designing and delivering inclusive curriculum-linked arts workshops for a diverse range of learners with complex needs, including school pupils with SEND and EAL
  • Strong knowledge of teaching strategies to support inclusive arts-based learning
  • Passion for using art as a tool to connect with individuals, foster creativity, build confidence, and promote a sense of community and belonging
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice and safeguarding in school-based settings
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills
  • A commitment to Rosetta Art Centre’s Equal Opportunities policy, practical awareness of how to implement it, and understanding of the needs of a multicultural, inner city community
