Main Duties
Commission a bespoke sculptural garment for The Citadel – a high-profile founding dinner in a repurposed vault on June 25, 2026 in Central London.
Create a Rick Owens-inspired monk robe silhouette that functions as both wearable art and performative presence. The piece must be fully functional – the wearer will move through the room serving caviar to guests in a performative, nonchalant, editorial moment. Dark, minimal, architectural silhouette with high-quality finish. No branding.
The brief requires: understanding of Rick Owens’ philosophy of constraint and silence; ability to create presence through minimalism; confidence in deconstructed silhouettes; and execution within a tight 14-day timeline (June 4th).
This is a cultural moment, not a costume. The piece signals intention and craft through restraint, not complexity.
Skills and Experience Required
Portfolio of previous sculptural or menswear design work (3-5 images showing range and craft). Vision board with Rick Owens references, mood boards, colour palettes, and silhouette sketches. Written statement (2-3 sentences) on your understanding of the brief and what excites you about the project. Confirmation you can execute within 14 days and attend a fitting on June 15. Strong understanding of minimalist design philosophy and ability to work with intention and restraint.
