Product Photographer

Main Duties

The Rock Pool is looking for a Freelance Product Photographer to support our growing creative team. Known for our bespoke, hand-painted leather accessories, we take pride in crafting not just products, but art pieces. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to work closely with our Creative Director and team on photoshoots, content creation, and visual campaigns. If you’re enthusiastic about photography, fashion, and the finer details of craftsmanship, we’d love to hear from you.

Product Photographer – Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing product photoshoots, including setup, lighting, and styling.
• Capture high-quality images of leather accessories for use across e-commerce platforms, social media, and marketing materials.
• Edit and retouch photos to ensure consistent brand aesthetics, color accuracy, and detail enhancement.
• Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm visual concepts and storytelling through photography.
• Organize and maintain photo files, ensuring all assets are properly named and stored for easy access.
• Support behind-the-scenes documentation of the creative process for use in brand storytelling.

Skills and Experience Required

Technical Expertise

• Use of DSLR or mirrorless cameras and lenses suitable for product photography (macro, tilt-shift, etc.).
• Use of tripods, lightboxes, reflectors, and studio lighting equipment.
• Ability to capture high-resolution, true-to-life product images.

Post-Production & Editing

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One, or similar software.
• Skills in retouching, background removal, and color correction.
• Knowledge of image optimization for web, print, and social media platforms.
• Ability to style products and create aesthetic, brand-consistent imagery.
