Main Duties
Haberdashery London is an award winning London based design studio & lighting brand. With the introduction of new product collections and growing recognition within the international lighting market we are expanding the production team to meet the requirements of our customers and deliver future growth.
We are looking for a Procurement & Logistics Assistant to work in assisting the Procurement & Logistics Manager and the Sales and Production departments.
This role will be split equally between the Logistics and Procurement responsibilities
Key accountabilities
Logistics:
- Arrange inbound and outbound logistics to ensure requirements are met for production / design and sales
- Keep business up to date with delivery and collection dates.
- Ensure best prices are obtained for both inbound and outbound shipments.
- Act as point of contact for logistics questions finding practical and cost effective solutions to issues raised.
- Manage courier accounts, reviewing costs and transportation rates and researching shipping options
- Prepare and manage all aspects of customs handling
- Liaise with end clients on the entire shipment process for their goods
Ordering:
Assisting the Procurement and Logistics manager to:
- Place orders with suppliers in line with business requirements.
- Act as point of contact for supplier questions finding practical and cost effective solutions to production and logistics issues.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with new and existing suppliers
- Maintain inventory trackers and reporting tools to support procurement activities
Sales, Production and Design:
- Act as the point of contact for all departments regarding logistics.
Assisting the Procurement and Logistics manager to:
- Provide information for both sales and production regarding product availability
- Deliver timely information (stock and orders etc) to stakeholders ensuring visibility within the business
Skills and Experience Required
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to work independently and to consistently achieve deadlines over a broad spread of jobs
- Extensive knowledge of logistics not essential, full training will be provided
- Strong Excel and Google Workspace knowledge
- Knowledge of procurement systems (such as Unleashed)
- Experience of customer service beneficial
- Middleweight-level experience in a procurement or aligned position
