Main Duties

The Patrons Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing the Museums portfolio of existing and prospective Patrons who are a vital part of the continued growth in philanthropic support for the Fitzwilliam. The role is central to the Museums objectives of delivering outstanding experiences for audiences, increasing our reach, engagement and loyalty, and growing philanthropic income. Contributing to the Membership and Individual Giving strategy and managing the day-to-day operations, the Patrons Coordinator is a pivotal new role that will support the strategic development and delivery of the Fitzwilliam Museums patron schemes, currently comprising of a single tier, the Marlay Group, and with new tiers in development. A diverse and highly collaborative role, the Patrons Coordinator will manage all aspects of the administration and stewardship of Patrons and the day-to-day administration of the Marlay Committee who act as ambassadors for the Marlay Group and the wider Museum.

Skills and Experience Required

The Patrons Coordinator will plan, develop and deliver Patron events and initiatives, work with colleagues in CRM, digital and brand on acquisition and retention campaigns and to produce bespoke digital content, communications and marketing materials, and support pathways to further philanthropic giving. A key part of the role involves using tools including the Museum’s CRM platform Tessitura to manage and analyse memberships and donation data – tracking performance against KPIs, identifying trends, opportunities for growth and generating insights to shape future strategy. The role holder will also collaborate with colleagues in CUDAR – Cambridge University’s Development and Alumni Relations department on prospects and legacies,
