Main Duties

Hi!

We’re Pexa, a startup doing big things good for the environment.  We want to sell the first truly connecting wooden toy set featuring only endangered animals, and commit to giving a bit of our profit to NGOs working in conservation.

We’re looking for someone who can help with with packaging.  We have a final toy prototype and are now exploring packaging options.  We have a couple of ideas but would like someone who can:

  • work with us extensively over the next 6 weeks or less to finalise packaging for our toys (the picture you see is an earlier version of our design).
  • design and prototype the box, the filler/protective layer, the inner brochure (like an instruction sheet), any other components such as a drawstring bag.
  • work independently and have access to his/her own workshop to get the prototypes done, or know where in his/her location to get affordable prototypes done.

Skills and Experience Required

We would like someone with these skills and experiences:

  • Experience working with packaging or cardboard structures
  • Ability to design and prototype samples, including the use of other materials like string, cloth, etc (where necessary). (You do not need to worry about the basic design elements like logo, illustrations, etc.)
  • Enthusiasm and a team player – willingness to get things done
  • Ability to use the relevant 3D software to produce final designs to be sent to manufacturers
