Menswear Sales Assistant – Weekends

Main Duties

Walker Slater Menswear is seeking new Part-Time Weekend recruits to join our ambitious and expanding team at our Covent Garden locations in London.

We deliver a unique personal tailoring experience for our customers working with one of the best alteration tailors in the city and you will be trained to be an expert.  We create fabrics and styles that are constantly improved upon to keep its relevance today, whilst striving to retain the heritage and integrity of the weaving and tailoring from where it came.

Everything is designed in Edinburgh, and you will be working for an independent brand that values sustainability paired with quality.  Our customer service style is pushing for the luxury experience yet a friendly approach that you won’t normally find on the high street.  The Weekend role is ideal for those who are looking for a 2-day weekend work pattern.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment with high expectations to demonstrate the following requirements:

  • Excellent communicator and socially skilled
  • Creative in finding solutions
  • Native or near-native in English, both spoken and written
  • Service-orientated with the ability to be patient and flexible
  • Excited to work with a fast-expanding independent brand with progression opportunities at Walker Slater

Skills and Experience Required

Qualifications:

  • Previous industry entry-level experience in retail, preferably in fashion, or if entry-level, any transferable skills – please write a comprehensive cover letter.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and team members.
  • A confident individual who would describe themselves as a fast learner.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing retail environment
  • Be action-oriented and solution-driven to achieve results
  • A desire to build relationships and promote teamwork
  • Passionate about tweed and Menswear fashion and ambitious to learn about the industry
