Kitchen and Event Assistants

Main Duties

Here at Khao Suppers, we’re a small female-led who specialise in curated food events in London.

We host monthly supper clubs and private dining experiences from 15 to 60 people. We have previously worked with students from UAL who are looking for some ad-hoc work in a safe, fun and wholesome environment where you also get to take home yummy food!

Previous events have included a mango themed supper club, a special South Asian Heritage Month event with Netflix and even a trip to the USA for a private hire. If you have some extra time on weekends or the week days, are handy around the kitchen and keen, please see all the details below, we’d love to hear from you!

The Role

Main duties that you’ll be doing, but not limited to:
  • Assist with the smooth running in the kitchen, including helping to organise the cooking stations, prep and plating area and the setting up of dining tables.
  • Possibly some food prep where necessary like chopping, grating, etc.
  • Assist with the plating, serving dishes and collecting these after each course.
  • Help with washing up and keeping the kitchen and plating area clean.
  • Happy to pick up anything that needs doing.

Skills and Experience Required

Requirements:

  • Events usually run on Friday or Saturday evenings between 6pm til 11pm, you would be available during these times.
  • Not necessary but any experience working in hospitality setting (whether service or in the back of house) is ideal.
  • Active listening abilities and enjoys working in a team environment.
  • Able to work in a back of house situation but also facing customers and interacting where necessary.
  • Make own travel arrangements to locations around London, based on where the event is taking place.
  • Comfortable and able to work in a high temperature working environment.
  • Able to communicate efficiently and follow instructions.
  • Understanding the importance of health and hygiene.
  • UK Passport/legally able to work in the UK.
