Graduate Trainee, Product Development & Raw Materials

Main Duties

  • Provide administrative support to the PD team in all daily collection development tasks.
  • Daily monitors the progress of developments.
  • Centralize supply needs and prepare for shipment to factories.
  • Participate in sending packages throughout the development of the collection.
  • Prepare normalisation meetings in support of the developer.
  • Help on the organization of the archiving of the samples at the end of the season.
  • Input and update product information into database inventory systems, ensuring accuracy is maintained throughout the collection.
  • Liaising with vendors on shipments, tracking and monitoring deliveries to ensure they arrive on time.
  • Sample/stock management.
  • Organising, filing, and archiving samples, swatches, and raw materials.
  • Collection overview documentation management.
  • PO management- prototypes, samples, excess stock, organising and recording all invoices.
  • Tracking and reporting on budget for product development, prototypes, and samples.
  • Providing support to the product development team and design team regarding product information (spec sheets, colour cards, sample archives).
  • Updating boards and collection books.
  • Supporting with administrative tasks as required.
  • Work with launch sheets and give launch packs to teams, shipping, labels on garments.
  • Logging all raw materials and inventory on System.
  • House keeping and general organisation of the stockroom.
  • Collect and process deliveries.
  • Regularly check stock levels and report any low stock.
  • Perform cycle counts and stock takes.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Degree in Fashion, Design, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Technology, or Apparel Production & Manufacturing
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, able to effectively share information with the team in a clear, concise way
  • Knowledge and passion for fashion and products – ‘fashion sensibility’ – knowledge of trends, the market, the luxury consumer and peer awareness
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at pace with flexibility, initiative and solution orientated
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Computer skills: Excel, Zedonk, Database inventory systems
