Front Of House Team Member – Comedy Club

Main Duties

Looking for a reliable Front of House Team Member to support our live comedy shows in London. Comedy Freaks runs weekly stand-up comedy nights across Kings Cross and Camden. We need someone responsible, independent, and able to handle the logistics of running a live show. This is an on-site position based at our 3 London venues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Arrive before doors open to set up the room: arranging chairs, checking the stage area, and preparing the space for the show.
• Welcome audience members as they arrive and guide them to their seats promptly.
• Encourage guests to sit at the front to create the best atmosphere.
• Manage comedians during the show: greeting them on arrival, showing them the green room area, and keeping them informed on timings.
• Handle any audience queries or issues during the show.
• Ensure the show starts on time and runs to schedule.
• Support pack-down after the show: resetting chairs, collecting any lost property, and ensuring the space is left tidy.

Skills and Experience Required

Requirements:

• Excellent availability on Friday and Saturday evenings (typically 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm);
• Capable of running show nights on a tight schedule.
• Able to work independently and use your initiative to solve problems;
• Good with people: friendly and professional when dealing with audiences and performers;
• Based in London with easy access to Kings Cross and Camden venues;
• Prior hospitality, events, technical equipment knowledge, or customer-facing experience is a bonus but not essential.
