Main Duties

S.S.DALEY is looking for an experienced freelance pattern cutter to support development of several womenswear looks for an upcoming show.

The work centres around translating sketches into toiles and production-ready patterns, working closely with the studio to refine fit and proportion.

We are particularly looking for someone with strong experience in:

  • Structured dresses
  • Womenswear tailoring
  • Developing garments through fittings

The role will involve working directly with the design studio during development.

London-based freelancers preferred.

Freelance / project-based over the coming weeks.

Skills and Experience Required

Ideal candidate:

  • Middleweight-level professional experience in womenswear pattern cutting, ideally within luxury or show environments.
  • Strong technical ability to translate design sketches into accurate toiles and production-ready patterns.
  • Demonstrable experience in structured dresses and womenswear tailoring.
  • Confident leading garment development through fittings, with a precise and solutions-focused approach to amendments.
  • Excellent understanding of proportion, balance and complex construction.
  • Comfortable working closely with the design team during intensive development periods.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently to show deadlines.
