Main Duties

We’re seeking a Finance and Administration Coordinator to play a central role in supporting the smooth running of Lewisham Youth Theatre as we transform young lives through the arts.

This integral role spans operations, communication, finance and recruitment, giving you direct impact on how we deliver inspiring programmes for young people. You’ll keep our systems and processes strong and efficient, underpinning the sustainability of our creative work

Responsibilities

  • Communications: Coordinating and delivering effective communications with young people, parents/carers, freelancers, volunteers and the wider public.
  • Project Administration: Coordinating registration, monitoring and evaluation systems, reporting, HR administration and box office operations.
  • Financial administration: Leading on bookkeeping and payroll processing.
  • Operational coordination: Managing office supplies and Health and Safety compliance within the building.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruiting, allocating and supporting volunteers across programmes.

Skills and Experience Required

Requirements

  • Experience in administration for participatory, creative, or youth programmes, with an interest in supporting young people’s social and emotional development through the arts.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and office management skills, including excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in financial administration, including PAYE and payroll.
  • Strong digital and administrative skills, able to quickly learn new tools and manage online platforms effectively.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage workload and meet targets.
