About

Established in 2009, Crew à la Mode is an apparel and lifestyle agency, supplying uniform and performance clothing and lifestyle solutions to the world’s most luxurious Superyachts. From our Head Office in London, our project management team source luxury yacht crew clothing and uniform from core suppliers, with our offering extending to our consciously produced in-house luxury crew clothing range CALM by CREW, which is distributed from our EU warehouse in Portugal.

The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Artworker to join our fast-paced creative team. You will be responsible for the effective management and completion of all artworking and digital design documents produced within the company. This role is perfect for someone with a creative eye, someone with an interest in fashion/apparel and graphic design skills who can bring concepts to life through high-quality, well presented visuals.

You’ll support the New Business team by producing engaging digital client uniform proposals and presentations (InDesign) and assist in the creation of marketing artwork to align with our brand across print, packaging and digital design, both internally and externally.

Working with our Concept Designer and Creative Director, you will be confident in prioritising a changing workload with fast moving deadlines and be technically advanced with Adobe Creative Suite.

This role would suit an individual with a desire to widen their experience within aspects of the luxury industry, and apparel design and production.

Skills and Experience Required

Client Artwork

  • Producing client uniform look book and concept presentations using InDesign
  • Creating Customisation files for clients using InDesign
  • Using graphic design skills to create layouts and brochures and other items as needed
  • Vectorising client logos for use across apparel

Research

  • Trend and design image research
  • Image searching for specific products and details
  • Sustainable products

Image Management 

  • Saving images into the image bank from photographers/photoshoots
  • Saving Crew Source images
  • Manage all the filing, ensuring digital files are named correctly
  • Photoshopping images and getting them presentation and web ready
  • Photoshopping different garment combinations ready for client presentations

Garment DesignPreferable but not essential 

  • Drawing up technical flats in illustrator as directed by the design team
  • Drawing up design ideas as directed by the design team
  • Transferring the brand identity into garment details such as trims and packaging
  • Print design for client products e.g scarves as needed

File Management

  • Manage all the filing and administration associated with the work, ensuring digital files are named correctly and saved in suitable folders
  • Filing of photoshoot images, Crew Source images etc.

You will show us you have

  • University Degree in related subject (Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Communication Design)
  • A strong work ethic, with the ability to thrive under high pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain an extreme level of attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Professional with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Able to build relationships with team members.
  • G-suite knowledge including file sharing, spreadsheets, documents and slides is of benefit.
  • Highly organised; Maintains accurate information when handling multiple high priority projects simultaneously.
  • Keen ability to grasp workflows and processes within the business context.
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving abilities
