Main Duties

This family run company specialise in Experiential Design, Production and Installation and are proud to count large brands and leading marketing agencies amongst their clients. Based in Chelmsford.

Providing a range of services from exhibition stands, product launches and bespoke sampling stands to PR stunts, sampling bins and giant props, the company are theatrical in its approach and enjoys encouraging both clients and staff to be different.

The Design & Sales Executive is a key member of the team, supporting the business through accurate, thoughtful, and commercially responsible design assistance and sales and marketing support.

This role sits at the intersection of creativity and commercial delivery, interpreting creative visuals and enquiry briefs into practical, cost-effective and profitable production solutions and renders. It supports the company’s commitment to high-quality design, collaboration, integrity, and sustainable working practices, ensuring that every sales proposal is both creatively ambitious and commercially sound. This role will also have an involvement in marketing, being able to support with socials and campaigns to boost audience reach and increase successful enquiries. It requires a brilliant sense of attention to detail.

Position is responsible for:

• Successful realisation of enquiry briefs from initial client conversations to final renders and marketing campaigns

• H&S compliance

• Creating dynamic and accurate visuals/renders to client briefs

Key Responsibilities include:

• Design & Presentation Support providing design visual and layout assistance for pitch sales presentations

and proposals. Also supporting the creation of visually engaging, accurate, and on-brand documents.

• Design, Costing & Commercial Accuracy breaking down creative concepts and drawings into materials,

finishes, fabrication methods and production processes. Also producing accurate cost estimates.

• Sales & Marketing Support responding to sales enquiries in a prompt and professional manner, assisting with the preparation and issuing of sales quotations, maintaining organised costing documentation and supporting execution of marketing reports including social media and content creation.

• Collaboration & Relationships working collaboratively with Sales, MDs and the Chief Creative Director to ensure all information is shared clearly and effectively with the Production team. Also building positive working relationships with external suppliers, communicating proactively to resolve queries, changes or challenges and attending networking events.

• Team & Process Support providing day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Sales wider team where required, ensuring information is correctly collated, filed, and accessible.

Skills and Experience Required

Skills and experience required:

• Experience in design, exhibitions, events, production, or manufacturing environments

• Knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques and production processes

• Familiarity with design software (Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, CAD, or similar)

• Experience liaising with suppliers and managing cost data

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail

• Ability to interpret creative visuals and concepts for production and costing purposes

• Organised, efficient and comfortable working to tight deadlines

• Clear and confident communicator with a collaborative mindset

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools

• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, positive and a team player
