Main Duties

The opportunity

CW+ is inviting artists, creative technologists and digital storytellers to submit expressions of interest for a new residency exploring the use of AI, AR and VR technologies to support and engage older adults living with dementia.

As part of our Arts for All programme, this project aims to create inclusive, imaginative experiences that spark connection, memory and wellbeing through digital innovation. We are seeking artists who can sensitively and creatively design AI-, AR- or VR based experiences tailored to the needs, preferences and lived experiences of people with dementia – whether through immersive environments, responsive storytelling, music and sound, generative visuals or co-creative tools.

This opportunity includes:

• funding to develop a dementia-friendly AI/AR/VR experience

• support from CW+ and access to healthcare staff for research or piloting

• artist fee and production budget (details available upon request)

• Optional public sharing, exhibition or workshop opportunities

Skills and Experience Required

Who can apply:

Artists and creators working in immersive technologies, sound art, interactive design or digital storytelling. Prior experience of working with older adults or in healthcare is a bonus, but not essential – empathy, curiosity and collaboration are key.
