Main Duties

I’m looking for a Craft Teacher (After-School Role)
Location: Tea and Crafting Highgate N6 5BN

I’m looking for enthusiastic craft teachers to run after-school classes for children aged 7–11. You do not need to be able to do all the days – timetable is below.

Hours:
3:30pm–5:30pm (some days until 6:30pm)

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check or happy to get one
  • Happy to collect children from a local school (15 mins walk to the shop)
  • Confident teaching small groups (3–5 children)
  • Energetic, positive and great with kids
  • You must be local to North London.

Roles needed:

  • General Craft Tutor
  • Knitting Tutor
  • Crochet Tutor

Ability to teach more than one of these crafts is a bonus, but not essential.

Weekly Schedule:

  • Monday: Knitting
  • Tuesday: General Crafts
  • Wednesday: Embroidery
  • Thursday: Crochet

This is a fun, creative role for someone who loves working with children and inspiring their creativity.

Skills and Experience Required

  • A can do and positive attitude
  • Be able to either knit, crochet or be an all round crafter
  • You must feel confident teaching children how to make and create.
  • You must be a quick learner and be able to pick up new simple basic crafts
  • A very proactive attitude
  • A open mindset
  • Be able to think quick on your feet to solve any problems.
  • You will need to have a valid DBS check as you will be working with children
