Content Creator & Editor

Salary £30,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Main Duties

We’re seeking a talented Content Creator & Editor to join our venues team at The Truman Brewery, helping us showcase the energy of Brick Lane’s nightlife and live events to life across our digital platforms.

You’ll be confident at capturing and editing content, primarily in video with some supporting photography, creating engaging content that supports our marketing and promotional campaigns and brings our venues to life online. Working closely with our marketing and events teams (in office and on-site) you’ll take ownership of creative concepts and lead content production.

With a diverse portfolio of spaces, the ideal candidate will be bursting with ideas for showcasing everything from headline events to food and drink experiences and more. You’ll bring a fresh perspective on video-led promotion and have proven experience producing fast-paced short, mid, and long-form content in a dynamic environment.

This is a hands-on, fast paced role for someone who thrives in creative environments and loves capturing real moments in vibrant settings.

Skills and Experience Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture engaging video and photography content across all venues, events and activations
  • Edit short, medium and long-form content for social media, websites and paid ads, tailoring content for different platforms and formats.
  • Lead on creative execution for content projects, from concept through to final delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and events teams to plan content around upcoming campaigns and programming including planning and executing shoots with all phases of production.
  • Produce regular reels, stories, highlights and promotional assets for social platforms
  • Develop creative ideas for showcasing events, DJs, performers, audiences, food, drink offerings and more.
  • Maintain a consistent visual style and brand tone across all outputs.
  • Use a range of camera equipment suited for the task, ensuring technical excellence in composition, lighting, and sound.
  • Manage and organise content libraries and assets
  • Attend evening and weekend events as required to capture live content
  • Stay on top of social trends, platform formats and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in content creation, videography and photography (portfolio required).
  • Confident shooting and editing on both professional cameras and mobile.
  • Strong editing and post production skills using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut or similar.
  • Comfortable producing fast-turnaround content in busy live environments.
  • Creative, proactive and full of ideas for engaging video-led promotion.
  • Experience creating short-form social content (Reels, TikTok, Stories) as well as longer edits.
  • Owning core camera and lighting equipment.
  • Strong understanding of lighting, composition and storytelling.
  • Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a wider team and collaborate where necessary.
  • Passion for nightlife, events, music and creative culture.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

Desirable

  • Experience working in hospitality, events or entertainment.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and content performance.
  • Basic graphic design skills.
  • Basic motion graphic skills.
