Content and Marketing Executive

Salary £29,000 to £33,000 per annum, depending on experience

Main Duties

Specific Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day social media activities across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn for Alex Monroe.
  • Develop innovative ideas & create exciting content for all our platforms, informed by current trends and the ethos of Alex Monroe. It should all be part of our storytelling and you will strive to create unique, engaging content to show who we are.
  • Plan and schedule creative engaging posts according to the monthly content calendar, ensuring they align with the brand’s values and inclusivity.
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Designer to create eye-catching, engaging visuals for social media.
  • Manage daily posts, monitor engagement, and respond to customer comments and inquiries in real-time.
  • Organise competitions, giveaways, and other activities to boost community engagement and grow the follower base.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, popular hashtags, and relevant news.
  • Research influencers for potential partnerships or gifting opportunities.
  • Track key metrics like follower growth, engagement, and revenue, and analyse the data to assess campaign performance.
  • Be a brand ambassador; taking responsibility for guardianship of our guidelines and how they are applied across all our socials, ensuring the content you’re creating is both bold & consistent
  • Assisting our Senior Creative Designer when we’re planning brand shoots
  • Assist with press call-ins, coordinating pieces, and ensuring they are returned to us in a timely manner.
  • Assist with event planning, from researching and visiting venues, to inviting guests.
  • Ensure all brand imagery is correctly stored and labelled, for visibility across the company.
General
  • Develop a good understanding of our customers creating content they will engage with
  • Stay on top of industry trends and popular content in both the press and on social media, sharing insights with the team.
  • Help contribute to campaign reports by evaluating what worked and what didn’t, and using those lessons for future projects.
  • Assist with PR and Marketing campaigns when needed, ensuring everything stays within budget and spending is tracked.
  • Keep PR and Social Media assets organised in the correct folders.
  • Provide key support for admin tasks within the department.

Skills and Experience Required

What you will bring 
  • You have experience creating content in a previous social and or content role.
  • Keen eye for for creating unique & engaging content which tells a story and shows who we are.
  • You will be willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in – the marketing team is busy and moves fast!
  • Experience using Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Premiere Pro & Adobe Effects.
  • Some knowledge of cameras, mics, & lighting
  • You will have an excellent balance of collaborator and team player  – as a company we love working collaboratively but also know that we have our own parts to deliver. You’ll take responsibility for delivering your parts in full and on time.
  • You will be a creative thinker with energy and a passion for all things Alex Monroe. Keeping our content current by having an eye on media, culture & visual trends on social media.
