Main Duties

Project: Professional video and audio recording of a classical concert (60–80 minutes of music) featuring an orchestra of around 35 musicians plus soloists (piano, violin, cello, etc.).

Requirements:

  • One fixed single-camera shot covering orchestra and soloists
  • Separate microphones for soloists and main microphone(s) for the orchestra
  • High-quality professional recording – both video and audio
  • Audio mixing not compulsory but desirable (clean raw audio files sufficient)
  • Video post-production (editing and rendering) required

Fee: Negotiable, depending on experience and equipment provided.

This is a freelance, one-off project or more projects, not an internship or employed role.

The opportunity is ideal for recent graduates, experienced technicians, or advanced students able to deliver professional-level results.
There may be additional concert recording opportunities in May and later in the year, with the potential for long-term collaboration.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven ability to film and produce high-quality professional video recordings, ideally in live music or performance settings
  • Competence in camera operation, lighting awareness, and professional video rendering / post-production
  • Ability to record clean, high-quality audio using professional microphones and equipment (audio mixing desirable but not essential)
  • Experience delivering complete, polished video footage suitable for concert or promotional use
  • Access to appropriate professional-grade video and audio recording equipment
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently on-site during live performance
  • Portfolio or examples of previous filmed performances or similar projects must be provided
