Communications Graduate Trainee

Main Duties

  • Reporting: Compile coverage reports, forthcoming editorial, sample movement and key industry news.
  • Media monitoring: Identify, clip and collate relevant press and editorial (print, online and social), circulating to the Communications team in a timely manner.
  • Database management: Regular updating of contact details across databases and master lists.
  • Industry news: Stay abreast of industry movements and news, communicating these internally to the team.
  • Research: Conduct research into various fields pertaining to the communications team. Including editorial/digital media statistics and trends, creative production, cultural events and talent.
  • Sample Coordination: Work closely with the Communications Coordinator and Collections team for the organisation and execution of sample trafficking.  Responding to requests, packing and logistics.
  • Distributing assets: Support Communications Coordinator with distributing collection assets and visual asset requests from third parties.
  • Product descriptions: Support the Communications team with inputting and uploading product and collection descriptions.
  • Event assistance: Aid in the production of events organised by the department. Including research, logistics and in-person support.
  • Department Organisation: Maintain organisational structure for all files pertaining to the Communications team within the digital server as well as hardcopy filing, ordering supplies and submitting monthly expenses.
  • Scheduling: Organise and update team calendars as needed.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience working within a luxury brand’s communications team.
  • Experience in sample trafficking.
  • Experience in press clipping.
  • Experience with visual software (i.e. InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office)
  • Attention to detail.
  • Intuitive and proactive.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent writing, research and communication skills.
  • Good industry knowledge.
  • Passionate about the industry and an active awareness and knowledge of current events within world politics, arts, tech and wider culture.
