Main Duties

Full job description

We are looking for a social media and content creator to work on a part-time basis.

Reporting to the Brand Director you will be responsible for ensuring Athenassa’s social content is best in class – from concept to capture, to post-production, ensuring each campaign’s overall visual direction and aesthetic is on point. Alongside this, you will capture and edit captivating and on-brand content for our social channels with a creative, strategic and trend-led mindset.

 

Tasks

Content creation:

  • Spearhead and develop the generation of innovative and engaging content ideas for all social media campaigns whilst playing an active role in the location hunting and model scouting process of shoots, providing social creative direction and ensuring alignment with the overall vision.
  • Distil project requirements and tasks to appropriate team members, including but not limited to shotlists and editing schedules.
  • Collaboratively execute social-first campaign content for both primary and secondary channels to drive KPI’s (engagement, reach, and growth).
  • Generate social campaign ideas and briefs. Attend campaign shoots with support from the wider Team. Capturing and creating high-quality content (statics + videos); and edit all videos promptly. Tailor static and video content to match the needs of all social media channels whilst ensuring brand visual identity is consistent.
  • Remain agile to capture ad-hoc content on non-campaign shoot days.
  • Continuously develop new ideas for content series and creation as a whole on the Athenassa platforms
  • Planning and creating our social posting calendar across platforms such as: Instagram, Tik Tok, and Pinterest. For daily interactions as well as strategies for collection launches, collaboration, competitions and giveaways.
  • Creating captions for all social posts
  • Influencer and ambassador outreach
  • Answering DMs, liking, commenting & engaging

Strategy:

  • Provide insights and recommendations on creative expertise and implement the overall social media content strategy, ensuring alignment with Athenassa brand guidelines and business objectives.
  • Develop and execute creative content strategies for social media campaigns.

Trends:

  • Stay abreast of the latest social-first trends, tools and best practices to drive a social-first culture to maximise the impact of Athenassa’s content.

Skills and Experience Required

Requirements 

  • We welcome candidates looking for a permanent role, as well as those who may be freelancers.
  • Professional social media experience across Instagram and TikTok. Experience with other social channels is a plus.
  • You must be a creative thinker, proficient at idea generation and visualisation, and have an aesthetic eye. Excellent knowledge of current trends is crucial.
  • Expert at directing and managing projects and campaigns, driving impactful storytelling and fostering memorable brand experiences.
  • Highly experienced in independently creating static and video content for Instagram and TikTok. You must be comfortable in multiple content settings (behind the camera), including directing/shooting talent.
  • Highly skilled in CapCut and/or Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
  • Be comfortable working in a start-up environment. Have the agility to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changes in art direction and project execution.
  • Be driven, flexible, and proactive, with a positive can-do attitude, with excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Confident and skilled at planning, editing and posting videos and images for social content
  •  Innovative, forward thinking and creative, with a strong eye for detail and skill for marketing
  • Have a good understanding of our customers and followers needs with a skill for connecting with community
  • Have a good understanding of Athenassa’s mission, identity and aesthetic
  • You will need to be confident, creative, pro active, reactive and able to take the lead and adept at solving problems as well as coming up with fresh new ideas and jumping onto relevant trends in a timely manner.
