About Us

Silian Art and Design, a leading art consultancy and provider, has been enriching and transforming spaces with bespoke art solutions since 1997. From concept creation to in-house production, we work with global artists and studios to offer tailored services to top interior designers, hospitality brands and partners to realize their artistic vision.

We are currently looking for 1-2 Artist Engagement Officers, who will play a part in growing our artist network, fostering licensing and exhibition partnerships, and overseeing the development of artist opportunities and an annual program of engagement events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Discover, initiate, and build relationships with new artists and creative talents
  • Meticulously document and manage artist records
  • To report and present new and upcoming artists weekly and seasonally
  • To work with Projects and Design teams and to discover and propose artists that fit and contribute to client visions and experience
  • Brainstorm and develop engagement programs and projects to nurture our artist community, ie. both through social media or offline events
  • Assist with curating gallery exhibitions at the Gallery

For the London role, it will be hybrid-mode, two to three days per week, with at least one day based onsite in our beautiful gallery space in Chelsea, London. However, the role may require travelling for artist studio visits.

Skills and Experience Required

YOU

  • A passion for the art and design world – not just the gallery world but the commercial creative space too!
  • A good understanding of digital marketing and strategies, including SEO, content marketing, and social media engagement to attract and manage artist community
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and with clients
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

 

  • Background: Background in art, creative, interior design or related fields is a must.
  • Experience: At least entry-level experience in art administration, art management, and project management or related commercial-focused roles is required.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in an additional language is major plus!
  • Other Skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) is required, and Adobe Creative suite (InD, PS, Premier) is preferred.
