UAL’s Career & Employability will store and access the personal data you provide (name, contact information) to create, verify and support your account, which is needed to apply. This data is processed to support and manage the contractual agreement between us, under GDPR legal basis Art.6(1)(b) ‘necessary for the performance of a contract’. We ask for your status (alumni, current student, other) which institution you are graduating from and your student ID number for our monitoring purposes and may link these to UAL’s student records system (SITS) to produce anonymised statistical data, under GDPR legal basis Art.6(1)(f) ‘legitimate interests’. These interests include observing which college, jobseekers are from, and which jobs are the most applied for. As we already hold student id and college information, this is not an intrusion into personal data and helps to improve our service by being able to target underrepresented industries on the platform. Your data will be retained three years after the end of our contractual relationship with you.
