Charges for recruitment agencies and online jobsboards

Creative opportunities is free to use for employers directly recruiting to their company and non-profit recruitment agencies and non-profit jobs boards. The rates of charge for recruitment agencies and online jobs boards using our service is £100 + VAT per vacancy to be listed for 4 weeks.

Employer marketing and engagement communications

We may contact employer organisations about relevant University of the Arts London careers, employability, recruitment, partnership and employer engagement opportunities. This may include information about careers fairs, Industry Days, recruitment initiatives and other opportunities relevant to employers using Creative Opportunities.

Your employer type affects how we manage these communications.

  • Corporate employer contacts may receive relevant business-to-business employer marketing and engagement emails unless they opt out.
  • Sole traders, freelancers, individual contacts, unincorporated partnerships and those who are not sure of their organisation type will only receive these emails if they opt in.

You can change this preference at any time by ticking or unticking this box in your Creative Opportunities profile, clicking unsubscribe in any marketing email, or contacting jobsonline@arts.ac.uk.

From time to time, we look for opportunities to deepen our engagement with creative employers on issues such as skills, diversity, and recruitment.

We may use your contact details to keep you informed about relevant employer events and engagement opportunities connected to UAL students, graduates, careers and employability activity.

What we use: your name, job title, organisation name and email address, where provided. We will not share your data with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Your personal data will be handled securely in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. For more information about how UAL uses personal data and your rights, please see the relevant UAL privacy information.

Marketing and employer engagement communications are separate from essential account, service and technical communications. Even if you opt out of marketing, or do not opt in, we may still contact you about your Creative Opportunities account, technical updates, changes to the jobs board, changes to our terms, and other information necessary to manage or support your account.

Employer Privacy Notice

UAL Careers and Employability will store and access the personal data you provide (company name, contact name, email, telephone number) to create, verify and support an employer account for our jobs board under GDPR basis Art.6(1)(b) ‘necessary for the performance of a contract’, i.e. the terms and conditions of using the jobs board. We will email you about technical updates, we will ask for feedback to improve our services, when our jobs board is updated with new features, the timing of careers events that might increase interest in your jobs, when a discount applies to your account and any other changes to your account. This data will be retained three years after the end of our contractual relationship with you.

Anonymised statistical data will be produced for monitoring and reporting purposes and we will retain the company name – which may in some circumstances may be personal data – of any employer that breaches the terms of the agreement, is subject to a complaint, or that we decide not to accept onto the jobs board for any reason, for as long as the jobs board is active in order to inform our decision relating to any future application from the same company, under GDPR basis Art.6(1)(f) ‘Legitimate Interests’.
