What will the internship offer the student and what will they learn while they are with you? E.g. skills they could learn/develop and experience they could gain.
Here at Poppins, we create interactive experiences, digital products, emotive designs, brand identities and creative strategy. And we’re looking for a Digital Design intern with a love of contributing to high-quality work across a range of projects from web experiences to complex design systems to join our team for a 3-month paid placement.
As an Intern here, you’ll be excited to learn and grow your skillset and open to working on a range of projects; able to use the foundations of your knowledge on whatever creative brief you are faced with.
This internship is an opportunity to learn from more senior members within the team. Within the digital design team, you’ll continue to hone your skills creating user-first digital products through wireframing high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, and artworking files for developers. You will learn how to professionally engage with clients, manage your time across projects, and communicate effectively and efficiently with your team members.
An Intern at Poppins does not work in isolation; thoughts and ideas are shared between the wider team regardless of hierarchy so you’ll often be sharing your opinion with others, as well as hearing feedback on your work.
Who we’d like to find:
- Someone with a genuine love and passion for the creative process
- Strong UI/UX design skills from either previous employment or a relevant higher education course
- Proficiency in design tools and software (Adobe Suite, Figma)
- Good knowledge of user design principles
- Attention to detail and big creative thinking
- Great communication and time management skills
- The right to work in the UK
What we offer
- Training support and personal career development
- A flexible working pattern, with a one day a week ‘work from home’ policy (the rest of the week is based in our London office)
- Paid internship
