This internship offers hands-on experience within a working design studio during the development of new seasonal collections. The intern will gain direct exposure to the process of translating design ideas into garments, from initial research and sketching through to pattern cutting, draping and sample development.
The role provides practical experience in garment construction and development, including working on toiles, assisting with fittings and contributing to the refinement of silhouettes and techniques within the collection.
Interns will also gain insight into the day-to-day workings of an independent fashion studio, including studio organisation, sample tracking, and preparation for reviews and presentations.
S.S.DALEY is a collaborative studio environment and interns are encouraged to contribute ideas and experiment as part of the development process. The placement is intended to provide meaningful exposure to the creative and technical aspects of building a collection.
