Main Duties

Section 1: Purpose of the role To support the team and keep the studio running efficiently, Field Grey is a design company that delivers effective uniform solutions. No previous industry experience is essential for success in this role, however you will need to have formal design training and be eager to apply that in a commercial environment. You will also need to be resilient and be able to handle demanding situations with a smile and a “can do” attitude. This is vital, as it will include lots of responsibility.

Section 2: Key responsibilities General overview Responsible for • Field Grey office e.g.: stationary orders, making sure the office is running efficiently and is clean and tidy, post, answering the phone, making excellent coffee • IT e.g.: Booking in IT help, logging IT problems • Logistics e.g.: booking in (and finding the cheapest quote) and out FGL deliveries and logging and checking deliveries • General office Administration including timesheet/data entry and filing • Diary Management • Day to day project activities required by the team

Section 3: Other specific responsibilities Presentations • Excellent organisational and communication skills • Researching for design presentations assisting with; Proposals and pitches Project • Chasing suppliers for orders • Ordering samples from suppliers • Returning samples • Responding to client queries and demands Marketing and Business Development • Contributing to sales calls, pitches and presentations • Database entry • Contribution to social media

Section 4: About you You must be eager to work in design and apply yourself in a commercial environment Essential attributes include • Outstanding interpersonal skills, be great at client and supplier liaison • Advance level user of relevant software including, Excel, Word • Passionate interest in the value of design, particularly applied to everyday practical problems • Fast, reliable, accurate • Excellent verbal and written English • Confident telephone manor • “Can do”, “will do” attitude • Organised! Desirable attributes include • Advance level user of In-design, Photoshop, Illustrator • Second language • Previous relevant experience • Project management experience (but we give relevant training)
