Main Duties

The internship aims to provide insights and a practical understanding of apparel branding, plus familiarity and awareness of the various techniques and solutions that Avery Dennison offer.
Additionally, the Intern will gain an understanding of product creation and the various methods of manufacture.
Furthermore, the Intern will be informed of the importance of sustainability and the ways in which this is considered when producing branded items and trims for the apparel industry.
Knowledge, information and skills will be acquired through experience.


The Intern will be supervised by the Senior Brand Development Specialist for the duration of the course.


General overview of what to expect from the first three months:


Month 1


  • Learn the fundamentals of apparel branding: The varying product types.
  • Learn about production methods and production locations
  • Gain a basic understanding of how collaborations and branding relationships work
  • Support with managing production orders
  • Sample co-ordination – physical sample organisation and online
  • Support building branding/marketing tools
  • Support sample photography
  • Review learning and Interns learning wants & needs within role

Month 2


  • Liaise with collaboration contacts on orders and manage expectations
  • Liaise with factory contacts on delivery dates and time paths
  • Support with managing production orders
  • Sample co-ordination – physical sample organisation and online
  • Learn about product development processes
  • Support building branding/marketing tools
  • Support sample photography

Month 3


  • Liaise with collaboration contacts on orders and manage expectations
  • Liaise with factory contacts on delivery dates and time paths
  • Support with managing production orders
  • Sample co-ordination – physical sample organisation and online
  • Support building branding/marketing tools
  • Review learning and the candidates learning wants & needs within role
  • Support sample photography
  • Support Digital Library administration

Skills and Experience

We are looking for a new team member to fill a Branding Assistant Internship in our studio in Notting Hill, London. This role would ideally start ASAP and will suit someone wanting to pursue a career in Garment Production or Trims & Fabric product development, within the fashion or apparel branding industry. The role will be supporting our Trends & Marketing teams with new & exciting branding collaborations & events - the right candidate will be learning about all areas from trend forecasting to fashion production and marketing, whilst focusing on fabric, prints and trim developments. The role is not creative but focuses on product development practices. The position will be a great platform to start a career in the fashion industry!
