Wigmore Hall

Company Profile

Wigmore Hall is a music venue that specialises in chamber and instrumental music, early music and song. Since 1994, Wigmore Hall's renowned learning and participation programme has been giving people of all ages and backgrounds opportunities to take part in creative music making, engaging a broad and diverse range of people through creative projects, resources, concerts and workshops online, at Wigmore Hall, across London and beyond. Three core values lie at the heart of our learning and participation programme: carecollaboration and equity, and our vision is for an inclusive and equitable society, in which everyone has access to transformative creative experiences. Our mission is to collaboratively design and lead inclusive music making that improves wellbeing through creative agency, self-expression and social connection, and we achieve this by ensuring our practice is:

  • Inclusive and anti-discriminatory
  • Trauma-informed
  • Co-created
  • Impactful, with reflective practice at the heart

We collaborate with a range of community, education, arts, health and social care organisations, working in partnership to engage people who have experienced adversity, trauma, isolation and marginalisation, and who face barriers to participating in creative arts activity.
