The Chichester Workshop for Liturgical Art is an ecumenical workshop, in association with Chichester Cathedral, that undertakes commissions across a broad range of media, drawing on the ancient, living traditions of Christian iconography. The Workshop also offers practical training in the creation of liturgical art, and promotes the theology underlying its work. The Chichester Workshop is in its early stages. It will be home initially to two liturgical artists, Martin Earle (www.martinearle.com) and Jim Blackstone (www.dunstanicons.com), who will be undertaking their work in shared space and in a common spirit. Martin and Jim are former students of the iconographer Aidan Hart (www.aidanharticons.com) who will also be playing a key role by offering theological input in the form of teaching and lecturing.
