Genevieve Schwartz Jewellery
Company Profile
Genevieve Schwartz is a multi award-winning jewellery designer-maker based at the Goldsmiths Centre in London. Her formal career in jewellery began through extensive training as a silversmith and jewellery designer in Hatton Garden, but her interest in creating handmade objects has existed since she was a child. After completing her training and a BA in Art History, Genevieve went on to cut her teeth at leading British jewellery houses including Vivienne Westwood and Astley Clarke. After 7 years of industry experience, she founded her own fine jewellery brand with the purpose of bringing vibrant colour into fine jewellery. Her characteristic style is Inspired by the geometric shapes and repeated patterns commonly used in the Art Deco movement, and she combines these with bold colour combinations inspired by her favourite artworks. She is best known for her use of one of a kind bicolour tourmaline gemstones which she sets in playful arrangements which celebrate the stones natural colour change and comment on her interest in dynamic colour relationships. More recently she has begun exploring hidden symbolism in her work by hiding hand engraved talismans beneath rich windows of coloured gemstones. Today, Genevieve is based back where she began, in Hatton Garden at the centre of London’s jewellery trade. She releases collection pieces regularly throughout the year and holds private consultations for bespoke work at The Goldsmiths’ Centre where her studio is based
