Freelance Student Photographer & Videographer

Main Duties

Main duties

• Capture professional, candid photography during workshops, facilitation sessions, leadership programmes and live events.
• Film short-form and long-form video content within workshop and training environments.
• Capture authentic human moments, interactions, conversations and behind-the-scenes content.
• Work alongside The Mind at Work team to help document events and create engaging visual content.
• Organise and deliver edited photography selections after events.
• Support with editing existing video footage into social content, short-form clips and promotional material.
• Attend events primarily in and around London and the South East.
• Contribute creatively to the visual storytelling and ongoing content development of the organisation.

Skills and Experience Required

• Interest in photography, videography, visual storytelling or digital content creation.
• Strong eye for candid, warm and human-focused imagery.
• Comfortable working within live workshop and event environments.
• Good communication skills and professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating with a wider team.
• Experience using photography/video equipment preferred but not essential.
• Experience with video editing software such as CapCut, Descript or similar is beneficial but not essential.
• Suitable for emerging creatives, students or freelance creatives looking to build portfolio and professional experience.
• Applicants should have access to their own photography/video equipment suitable for professional content capture.
• Experience using DSLR, mirrorless cameras or professional video equipment preferred.
• Basic understanding of lighting, audio and filming within live environments beneficial.
