Closing Date 31 March 2026
Position Type Freelance
Advert expires on 31 March 2026

Main Duties

We are seeking dedicated Studio Assistants to join a professional fine art studio specialising in large-scale painting.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely within an active studio environment and develop advanced technical skills in painting and artwork production.

Successful applicants will begin with an intensive three-month training program designed to teach the specific techniques and working methods used in the studio. This program is selective and limited in capacity, and progression to a permanent role will depend on meeting the required studio standards. Please note that during this training period the position will be unpaid and completion of the training period does not automatically guarantee employment.

Following successful training, studio assistants will contribute directly to the production of paintings and assist with the preparation and execution of artworks.

The studio operates with a strong emphasis on precision, discipline, and consistency, and assistants are expected to work carefully and attentively within an established production process.

  • Stretching, preparing, and priming canvases
  • Setting up image projection systems for painting layouts
