Workshop Instructor & Studio Host (Lampwork Glass Art) – Part-Time or Full-Time – Training Provided

Main Duties

We are looking for a friendly, responsible Workshop Instructor / Studio Host to help deliver our in-studio glassmaking experiences and support customers during their creative sessions.

This is a customer-facing role where you will guide guests through the workshop experience while ensuring safety rules are followed at all times.


Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers and guide them through the workshop flow
  • Deliver a safety briefing and supervise safety throughout the session
  • Demonstrate simple glassmaking techniques (full training provided)
  • Help customers complete their projects and provide hands-on support
  • Pack finished artworks neatly and professionally (gift-ready packaging)
  • Keep the studio clean, tidy, and organised during and after sessions
  • Help maintain a warm, calm, and premium studio experience for guests

Typical Shifts

  • Weekends (most important)
  • Some weekday shifts depending on bookings

Shift length typically 2–8 hours, depending on workshop bookings.


Training & Trial

No lampwork or glassmaking experience is required.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Native-level English speaker with strong communication skills
  • Friendly, patient, and comfortable interacting with customers
  • Interest in art, crafts, or creative work
  • Experience in crafts such as pottery, ceramics, tufting, jewellery making, or similar handmade arts is highly preferred
  • Reliable and responsible in a workshop environment
  • Able to commute easily to Stratford, London (E15)
