Main Duties
You will gain experience in:
- Exhibitions and events logistics, including clearing and install of main spaces, managing the bar, space and materials inventory, overseeing overall flow during events, supporting with photo and video during events when needed
- Marketing for events including Inspired talks and What Now? Careers Fair
- Outreach and research on potential events, projects and partnerships, drafting pitches and formatting decks for external projects
- Post production, reporting on events and exhibitions
- Creating posts for social media, digital assets, blog posts and newsletter
- Reaching out to artists for solo exhibitions and event programme at Sarabande, proposing ideas for workshops and exhibitions, working with artists on delivery
- Operations and art logistics, working with the Studio Manager on Sarabande’s relocation to its exceptional new site

Sarabande was set up by the late designer Lee Alexander McQueen, who left the majority of his estate to supporting creative and visionary talent. In addition to providing scholarships and studio space for artists, Sarabande produces a number of events, from the practical to the inspirational.
Sarabande is looking for an Events Intern to support the Programme & Outreach Officer and work occasionally with the Studio Manager in Tottenham. You should expect to assist in the daily running of the Foundation’s studios, as well as close work on our exciting events programme and other special projects.
As part of funding received from the National Lottery, this is a paid position and will have a focus on expanding Sarabande’s reach in North London.
Key Requirements:
- Knowledge and interest in the contemporary art-world, galleries and the emerging art scene is a must
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Time management – punctual and reliable, able to manage workload and priorities effectively. Can perform multiple tasks within the required timeframe
- A commitment to Sarabande’s goals and objectives
- Proficiency in Adobe, Softwares…Platforms also used include eventbrite, HubSpot, Shopify, Linkedin, Dropbox
