Bridal Couture Seamstress

Main Duties

We are seeking a highly skilled freelance couture seamstress to support the creation of luxury bridal garments and sculptural corsetry. This role is ideal for a maker with exceptional technical precision, a deep understanding of couture construction, and a passion for craftsmanship.
Our designs are individually hand-finished and created with meticulous attention to structure, form, and detail. We are looking for someone who shares this commitment to excellence.

Skills and Experience Required

Construction of bridal garments to couture standards
• Advanced corsetry work, including structured bodices and internal support
• Hand finishing, hand stitching, and delicate detailing
• Working with fine fabrics including silk, lace, tulle, and structured textiles
• Alterations and refinements to achieve precise fit
• Following patterns and adapting construction where required
• Maintaining immaculate finishing throughout

Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in bridalwear, eveningwear, or couture garment construction
• Strong understanding of corsetry and structured bodice techniques
• Excellent hand sewing ability and finishing skills
• Precision machining and fabric handling
• Pattern understanding and garment assembly knowledge
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently to a high professional standard

Desirable
• Experience working within an established bridal atelier or luxury fashion environment
• Experience with fittings and alterations
• Pattern cutting knowledge
