Brand & Content Marketing Manager

Main Duties

We’re a mission-driven, fast-moving startup with a collaborative culture. As we expand our programmes and partnerships, we’re looking for someone who can strengthen how our brand engages the research and innovation community.

You’ll shape how our organisation communicates and connects with researchers, universities, funders and partners. The role blends strategic marketing with hands-on creative production across content, design and digital channels, alongside community-building and event support.

Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging, audience-focused content across LinkedIn, newsletters, blogs and case studies in German and English
  • Design visual assets using Canva and contribute to the brand’s look and feel across campaigns
  • Help produce multimedia materials such as short videos, simple edits and event-related content
  • Build and nurture our online community, increasing engagement with researchers and stakeholders
  • Support the planning, promotion and delivery of key events, conferences, and training programmes
  • Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all marketing and communication outputs

Skills and Experience Required

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in German and English
  • Experience in social media marketing, copywriting, design and light art direction (LinkedIn experience is a strong plus)
  • Proficiency in Canva (or similar design tools) for creating visual assets and branded content
  • Strong project management skills and ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in community building
  • Creative thinker comfortable with hands-on content creation, editing and problem-solving
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with universities, research organisations or third-sector organisations
  • Event management experience
  • Worked in a start-up or small company before
