Maths/English Tutors in N16 (Social Enterprise)

Salary £25–£45 per hour (depending on role and experience).
Hours From 5 to 15+ hours per week (outside of schooltime: weekdays from 3.45pm or weekends)

Main Duties

  • Deliver 1-to-1 Maths and/or English tutoring (Primary, 11+ & KS3) in students’ homes (N16/E8/E5)
  • Teach weekly, in-person sessions outside school hours (weekdays 3:45–7:30pm; weekends available)
  • Plan and deliver calm, child-centred lessons that build challenge gently at the right pace
  • Follow Ripple’s structured topic roadmaps and use provided resources
  • Maintain consistent weekly sessions once confirmed
  • Work closely with Ripple HQ, who handle scheduling, payments, logistics and educational guidance

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience teaching or tutoring Primary or KS3 Maths and/or English
  • 11+ experience (Eng/Maths, VR/NVR) for 11+ specialist roles
  • Warmth, patience, and a creative, engaging teaching style
  • Reliability and ability to work consistently across at least a school term (ideally the full year)
  • Able to travel easily to Stoke Newington, Dalston, Hackney (N16/E8/E5)
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain before starting)
